What's your USP?

πŸ’¬ A lady messaged me the other day saying she was thinking about setting up an Aesthetics business but wanted to know whether the demand was high enough etc..

It got me thinking... πŸ€”

In business, there are always going to be Hairdressers... Make Up Artists... Beauty Therapists... because it’s quite a popular profession because let’s face it, everyone likes a bit of pampering.

So it doesn’t really matter about the demand...

If there are 10 hairdressers in your area and you’re 1 of them... You need at least ONE unique selling point (USP) to make yourself stand out and get clients coming to you and not the other 9 stylists...

πŸ‘€ When I started up Faces by Poppy in 2015, there wasn’t any other make up artists in the area doing β€˜Glam’ make up. They all did the bridal/natural make up. πŸ‘°πŸ½

This is why my work took off... because it was unique... different.

⚠️ You have to find YOUR USP. βš οΈ

My biggest advice to you: specialise in something. Don’t offer all the services under the sun. Be KNOWN for something.

πŸ’ Sometimes it’s better to write it out in a group to actually make it happen and believe it yourself...
